Erica Long came to work at Kitchen Conservatory as a high school student with a quiet demeanor and strong work ethic, and now two years later, she is excited to teach a class before she starts her college studies in Economics in Washington. Inspired by her great-grandmother, Erica shares a variety of sweet and savory hamantaschen - a traditional Purim cookie. This hands-on class will make balsamic-fig compote and goat cheese hamantaschen, herbed lamb with a pine nut filling hamantaschen, plus the more traditional hamantaschen with three different fillings - poppy seed, dried cherry and walnut, and a spin-off of her grandmother's Hungarian foldovers with apricot jam.
