As she creates a sumptuous repast, wine expert Jeffrey Hensel, with over 3 decades of wine experience, will pair the perfect Italian wines from the southern region of Italy. Enjoy fried artichoke with lemon-black garlic aïoli, orecchiette con cime di rapa - a classic Puglian dish with broccoli rabe and garlic and anchovies, acquasala - fresh tomato bread salad with fresh oregano and flaky sea salt, pan-seared and roasted Pugliese chicken cooked with white wine and olives and tomatoes, brine-soaked roasted potatoes, plus pasticciotti - cream-filled pastry tartlets.
