This hands-on class will make Czechoslovakian bublanina - a simple sponge cake with fruit filling served with berry compote and custard sauce, Polish piernik - a gingerbread loaf, American Brooklyn blackout cake - a rich dark chocolate sponge cake with pudding layers and rich chocolate frosting, plus Greek portokalopita - an orange cake with phyllo and orange syrup. #weekday
