A cake flight with world traveler Lydia Gwin is the best way to experience first hand four cakes from around the world, each with their own special components. This hands-on class will make Czechoslovakian bublanina - a simple sponge cake with fruit filling served with berry compote and custard sauce, Polish piernik - a gingerbread loaf, American Brooklyn blackout cake - a rich dark chocolate sponge cake with pudding layers and rich chocolate frosting, plus Greek portokalopita - an orange cake with phyllo and orange syrup. #weekday
